Smart locks can be operated in different ways like with a for example through smartphone app, a key fob or a keypad digital code. When choosing a smart lock you should consider how many people will use it and how much you’re willing to spend.

for example if you have a big family buying a smart lock that operates throughout a key fob you will need to buy a fob for each person which means it will be more expensive than buying a keypad lock that is operated with a digital code

Added Convenience

A smart lock isn’t always safer than a regular deadbolt but it is definitely more convenient. For example if your family gets home earlier than you or your kid comes back home from school you can use a temporary passcode or open the door remotely yourself.
